Biography
Christoph Wollersheim, based in Washington, D.C., supports clients as a member of Egon Zehnder’s Services Practice and Artificial Intelligence practice. He draws on extensive experience and a proven track record as an AI and data analytics executive leading impactful teams to help companies drive cultural shifts and attract and retain data and AI talents and leaders.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Christoph was a Division Director for Advanced Analytics & Digital Solutions at Noblis in Washington, DC, where his team brought AI and Data Science capabilities to the US Federal Government. That was preceded by the position of Global Head of Data Analytics & Insights at Arcadis in Berlin and Washington, D.C, where Christoph also served on the Boards of two of Arcadis’s data science subsidiaries (SEAMS and Arcadis Gen). Previously, Christoph brought Data and AI capabilities to aviation clients when he worked for global consulting companies: Christoph was an Advanced Analytics Expert at McKinsey Co. in Berlin and a Senior Lead Data Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton in Boston and Washington, D.C., As part of his career in academia, Christoph was a Research Scientist and Lab Executive Officer at MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He began his career as an analyst at Fraport AG, the operator of Frankfurt Airport.
Christoph earned a Diplom-Kaufmann degree (equivalent to an MBA) from the University of Cologne and a Dr. rer. pol. (comparable to a PhD) in economics from the University of Münster. Outside work he spends as much time as possible with his wife and two young daughters, stays fit by running, playing golf and rowing, and enjoys flying planes as a licensed pilot. Christoph holds the rank of reserve major in the German Air Force and is an active member of the society of the German International School in Washington, D.C. and the German Executive Roundtable.
