Adam Burns believes in always putting the best interests of his clients and candidates first. As a principal in WittKieffer’s Interim Leadership Practice, Adam brings diverse expertise in leadership consulting which greatly informs his work. In the past decade, he has placed both interim and permanent leadership at all organizational levels and draws upon experience in talent development and succession planning as well. Adam prides himself on helping clients to build high-performing leadership teams – he views this work as particularly valuable at a time when the baby boomer generation of executives is retiring and healthcare organizations are striving to fill key leadership gaps. For Adam, culture fit is critical when matching organizations – from vital critical-access hospitals to nationally recognized health systems – with interim leaders. He builds long-term relationships with clients, getting to know the organization and its key stakeholders well. In addition, he spends time getting to know interim executives, making a personal connection so that he may find opportunities that align with their expertise and leadership style. Before joining WittKieffer, Adam was division vice president and leader of client partnerships for a national executive search and talent management firm. In this role, he helped healthcare organizations across the U.S. fill immediate leadership, physician and advanced practice vacancies as well as provide recruitment support to fill positions on a permanent basis. Adam’s career experience also includes a position as managing director of Symons Emergency Specialties, Inc., where he served as head of sales and marketing as the company entered the San Diego County market. A resident of Southern California, Adam enjoys spending time at the ocean as well as celebrating his Armenian heritage.
