Henrik Aagaard, based in Copenhagen, serves Scandinavian, European, and international clients in life sciences including pharma, biopharma, biotech, and medtech as well as industrial companies. He is experienced in senior level assignments including CEO succession, board succession, and board effectiveness consulting, and is frequently engaged in executive search for R&D leadership, supply chain experts, senior technical operations executives, and chief marketing officers. Henrik also provides leadership development and executive coaching. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Henrik was President and CEO of American Pharmed Labs, a venture capital-backed medtech startup in the U.S. Previously, he was President of Novo Nordisk of North America, based in New York and responsible for Novo Nordisk corporate functions in North America. Earlier, Henrik was a Consultant with Matcon (part of the COWI Group), a Researcher at Business Weekly (Børsens Nyhedsmagasin), and an Associate Professor in Literature at University of Copenhagen. Henrik earned an MA in literature and history from the University of Copenhagen and a Master of International Affairs (MIA) from Columbia University School of International Affairs. He has served on the steering committee of Biotech Builders, a Danish life sciences network organization.
