Biography
She has worked with thousands of leaders in her career ranging from executives to high potential employees early in their careers. Additionally, she has worked closely with hundreds of HR professionals to improve their leadership development skills. Before joining the Firm in 2003 via PDI Ninth House, now a Korn Ferry company, Ms. Starke worked at Leadership By Design and Pitney-Bowes Management Services. She also has worked internally at both Anheuser-Busch and TWA designing and implementing selection processes. She has published articles on employee recruitment and mentoring. Ms. Starke specializes in creating talent management systems that support organizational initiatives. She also has extensive experience managing large scale global client engagements. In her time with the Firm, she has gained experience across multiple industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and government. Ms. Starke is a good listener with an uncanny ability to ask the right questions. Her business and HR generalist experience make her a strong and valuable partner. Ms. Starke is affiliated with the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is certified to deliver 360-degree feedback instruments, as well as a variety of personality inventories. Ms. Starke holds a doctoral and master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. During her time at the university, she developed a strong interest in assessments for both selection and development and conducted extensive research on applicant faking.
