Biography
Sara Vermeir leads the firm's Global Development Practice. She works closely with clients across international development and at the intersection of public-private partnerships. She conducts international executive search assignments for multilateral institutions, international organizations, major NGOs, universities and impact investment firms. Sara is also a senior member of the Consumer team, as she continues to work at the precipice of convergence between industry and civil society, working on assignments in FMCG and Retail in continental Europe. She is based in Brussels.
Prior to joining the firm, Sara spent six years at Incofin Investment Management where she most recently served as their director of business development. In that role, she worked on the development and commercialization of funds and on ongoing investor relations. Her investor contacts included mainly multi-lateral institutions, financial institutions and pension funds. Earlier, Sara was a private equity manager on Incofin's investment team and was in charge of analyzing and negotiating private equity transactions, with a specific regional focus on Asia. Before that, Sara spent four years with Bain & Company, first in Brussels and later in Boston, advising on strategic initiatives and supporting several large due diligence exercises across industries.
Sara has an MSc degree in civil engineering from the University of Ghent. She is fluent in Dutch, English and French and is conversational in Spanish.
