Biography
Prior to joining Amrop in 2018, Ricardo Fernandez spent more than 30 years working for the IBM Corporation in global and mult-ifunctional roles. His last assignment was as VP Enterprise Businesses for the Latin American region. Previous to that, he was General Manager for IBM Peru and Bolivia, leading the organization through a consistent growth and transformation period. Ricardo also held executive positions in Venezuela, USA and Brazil, that include Sales, Business Planning, Brand Management, Marketing and Distribution.
He has been a board member of business associations in Peru, such as IPAE and AMCHAM, where he represented Peru on the board of the Americas. Ricardo is currently member of the International Advisory Council of Centrum Graduate Business School, as well as a member of the board of L+1, which is a group of leaders working for a sustainable development of the Peruvian economy.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad de Lima, as well as an MBA by Centrum Graduate Business School in Perú and Tulane University in New Orleans, USA.
Ricardo is married with 2 children. Among his hobbies, he enjoys running, and loves to read, specially Spanish-American literature.
