Biography
Shari Chernack has 18 years of Big 4, boutique consulting and corporate experience, partnering with organizations and executives in their efforts to transform, build and evolve workplace culture, engage employees, enhance organizational capabilities, deliver brand promise, and design agile organizations and talent strategies.
She has held in-house leadership roles at Dell as the leader of organizational change in support of the company's enterprise transformation and most recently, at a PE-owned Caterpillar spinoff where she led business transformation, culture, employee engagement and communications and defined, launched and activated the company's vision, mission, values and employer brand. She also delivered significant organizational restructuring and recruitment and retention initiatives and drove improvements in employee engagement and business performance.
Ms. Chernack enjoys working collaboratively with senior and emerging leaders, providing counsel and coaching while partnering to drive meaningful change, achieve significant outcomes and maximize their value.
Ms. Chernack has had the privilege of working with leaders across Fortune 10 and other industry-leading corporations, PE-owned growth and turnaround companies, founder-led and family-owned businesses, across functions, from the front-line to the C-suite.
She has teamed with clients on a broad range of business transformation initiatives, including M&A integration, enterprise and functional (HR, IT, Marketing, Sales) transformation, culture change, brand transformation, organizational restructuring, operational improvements, cost reduction, and performance turnaround.
Previous corporate roles in Sales, Operations and HR leadership help Ms. Chernack navigate companies adeptly and have shaped her business-aligned approach to organizational strategy, culture, transformation and talent.
She has partnered with clients across industries, with significant focus in the technology, industrial, oil & gas, and life sciences sectors.
Ms. Chernack is also a speaker and consulted expert on change management, culture and employee engagement topics. Recently she was a contributing expert to Bonfyre's Why Company Culture Matters eBook and led a Human Capital Institute webinar on redefining and relaunching Core Values to drive employee engagement.
Shari received her MBA degree with a focus in Strategy and Marketing from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in History from Yale College. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
