Ricky Lam serves as Partner in the Industrial, Media and Entertainment, Advanced Technology practices and is based in DHR’s Hong Kong office. Leveraging 20 years of experience in business management across a range of specialties including business development, sales, marketing, and financial planning and analysis, he successfully manages key client relationships providing top of the class delivery on all client engagements. Prior to joining DHR International, Ricky was a Client Partner at another leading global executive search and leadership advisory firm, where he led the Technology, Industrial and the Government/Stat Bodies search projects in Asia Pacific. He has placed numerous senior executives for Hong Kong Statutory Organisations and private enterprises since 2013. Ricky began his career as a professional accountant with PwC before joining the commercial world as a financial analyst with DowElanco (a crop protection JV between Dow Chemical and Eli Lilly) and Nortel. Later, he took up various business development, sales and marketing roles at Dow and Lubrizol. Ricky also has experience in the entertainment and professional audio industries. He has worked in finance and product management roles with both Buena Vista International Television (Disney’s TV distribution) and Focusrite Audio Engineering. Building off his success as a savvy business and finance leader, Ricky has developed himself into a passionate team builder and people motivator in Asia, especially in Greater China. His clients find him uniquely valuable in helping them achieve their business goals through the right leadership and winning team selection. Ricky has a BA in Economics from the University of Sydney, and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School of the UK. He is also a member of the CPA Australia.
