Biography
Silvia Suen, a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Shanghai office, and she is a core member of Consumer and the Marketing, Sales & Communications Officer practices. She has two decades of corporate leadership and consulting experience in the consumer goods industry across Greater China, Singapore, South Korea and the United States. She has worked extensively advising senior leaders on topics including growth strategy, corporate development, post-merger integration and organization design.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Silvia was the retail sales director at Miele China, managing the omni-channel retail business. She defined and executed the retail strategy across offline and online channels, conducted point of sale expansion and improved sales operations.
Prior to Miele, Silvia was head of strategy and planning at Mondelez China and director of adidas Group’s global operations center of excellence, driving global initiatives in sourcing, supply chain and product development.
Earlier, Silvia was a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearney, advising multinational clients in apparel, fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare and consumer durables sectors in the U.S. and Greater China. She also worked at KKR Capstone to turnaround and improve the performance of KKR portfolio companies.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Silvia received her bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virginia, and her MBA from INSEAD. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) under International Coach Federation. She has focused on the China consumer market for over a decade and has lived in Shanghai since 2014. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
