With more than 10 years of experience in consulting, Mr. Herrera’s expertise is designing and implementing Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness solutions that enables organizations’ strategies.
Mr. Herrera has been successful in implementing rewards strategies by ensuring its correct relation with performance appraisal processes, talent management strategies and communications plans.
David’s organizational effectiveness solutions focus on the right organizational design, clarification of operating models, workforce planning and performance management design with great focus on labour costs and financial performance.
David has led various projects related to job evaluation and pay equity, total rewards strategies, sales compensation and incentives, performance management, organizational effectiveness and organizational transformation.
Mr. Herrera has experience with global and local organizations in various sectors including financial services, retail and industrial.
During his consulting career, Mr. Herrera has led projects in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and Chile and coordinated international projects with USA, Brazil, Argentina and Central America.
He was responsible for the “Leader Companies in Mexico” study from 2007 to 2010 which was published in one of the most important business magazines in Mexico.
David holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes.
Mr. Herrera started his consulting career in 2006 with Hay Group in Mexico City. He later worked as a consultant with Mercer and Towers Watson in Mexico City, and Sintec in Monterrey.
He also held the position of Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness Sr. Manager at Soriana, second biggest retailer in Mexico responsible for rewards and labour cost for 100,000+ employees. Mr. Herrera led several HR initiatives related to flexible benefits, performance appraisal and organizational effectiveness to transform the company’s culture.
