Olivier Kist (1972) graduated in 1997 from the Law Faculty of the University of Leiden. Immediately after his studies, he started at AEGON, where he eventually held various positions over the course of 14 years. After the first period of learning the trade – life insurance, pensions – he immediately became involved in the start of AEGON's worksite marketing formula. From 1999 first responsible for marketing, then for field sales and then as director of this AEGON division. Around 2003, Olivier helped shape the compliance organization within AEGON the Netherlands. He then lived for AEGON in Paris for two years and worked at a partner of AEGON, La Mondiale, France's largest group pension insurer. After returning to the Netherlands in 2005, Olivier returned to commerce within collective pensions. Initially he was responsible for the actuarial consultants, marketing and various projects. Most recently, Olivier was responsible within AEGON for account management on the large pension contracts of AEGON The Netherlands. Olivier loves to have contacts with people. He has a curious nature, wants to know everything about others and has the wonderful property that he also remembers a lot about others. Why some people are successful and others are not, is a question that is 'natural' in his system. His genuine interest in people and what moves them, combined with challenging substantive discussions, makes executive search and Olivier a logical match.
