Biography
A seasoned consultant, corporate executive and board member, Mr. González is known for helping leading organizations address their highest growth and execution-focused priorities.
His more than 25 years of experience spans a range of critical issues including organization strategy, strategic and operational planning, human resources and talent strategy, total rewards and performance measurement. Because of his breadth and depth of experience, Mr. González works across a range of industries and is often called upon to engage directly with high-profile skeptics and senior leaders.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. González was a partner and senior client leader with several professional services firms including EY, Mercer, RSM and Axiom Consulting Partners. As a corporate executive, he was responsible for combining and leading the compensation, benefits and human resources information systems functions for Constellation Energy and Baan Company.
Mr. González earned a Master's of Arts (Honors) in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
Mr. González is a frequent speaker and author on strategy and talent related topics. He is a co-author of Shockproof, How to Hardwire Your Business for Lasting Success (John Wiley & Sons, 2010) and The Talent Management Handbook, Third Edition (McGraw Hill, 2018). His articles have appeared in publications including CFO magazine, WorldatWork's Workspan and those of the American Society of Association Executives.
Mr. González serves on the Board of Directors. Governance and Strategy Committees of Northern Virginia Family Service, a $35+million social services agency, is a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee at Cornell University's ILR School and is an appointed member of the Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee of Fairfax County Public Schools, the 10th largest school district in the United States.
