Biography
Katie Mazzuckelli has had a broad, extensive career in executive search and research that gives her a unique insight into the challenges that clients have in finding the right information technology leaders for their priorities. Katie makes it a point to learn as much as possible about clients in order to identify executives who suit their strategic and operational goals. She has a robust network of candidate contacts developed through many years in healthcare and information technology recruiting.
Among her many past experiences, Katie served as vice president, operations for a national healthcare executive search firm. In this role, she oversaw research associates and executive recruiters as well as affiliated support researchers, candidate services, IT, and human resources. With the same firm, she spent time as an executive search consultant, advising on healthcare informatics and healthcare information technology-related searches. At one point, she led the firm’s healthcare information technology practice. In another role, she was a consultant and research director for another national recruiting firm, leading all research functions in support of search engagements for healthcare executives, including physician leaders. Earlier in her career, she was contracted by HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems Society) to promote its Center for Leadership Development (CLD), reaching out to HIMSS Chapters and student organizations, and to explore additional fundraising opportunities for the HIMSS Foundation.
Katie has an MBA as well as a master’s degree in organic chemistry. In her spare time, she looks for ways of volunteering and contributing, and has spent time on several local school boards in her Georgia community.
