Biography
Diane Lavietes is a partner in True’s Consumer practice in New York. Her focus is on transformation and growth in large public companies as well as PE and VC-backed startups. She specialises on a variety of functions from the CEO/board of directors, to members of the C-suite. Her work has stretched from marketing, merchandising and creative to operations, digital and tech enabled products. Previous to True, Diane was head of the U.S. consumer and retail practice at Odgers Berndtson, and before that, a senior vice president at a boutique firm for 11 years where she started the digital practice.
Through her knowledge of emerging tech across omni-channel retail, Diane has advised many companies on restructuring as well as placing executives who represent the changing profiles of leaders of the future. Diane is a former marketing leader from both the beauty and magazine industries. Within beauty, Diane ran marketing for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa & Klinger Advanced Aesthetics (fka Georgette Klinger). She also worked at The Walt Disney Company, American Express, The New York Times and Condé Nast. Diane has a degree in english literature from Brandeis University and played on the women’s tennis team.
