Stefan specializes in providing hands-on support operational improvement and interim management for clients in the aerospace and defense, industrial goods, automotive, and high-tech industries. With 30 years of global business experience, he has particular expertise in all areas of business transformation, efficiency improvement, technical cost reduction (TCR), and pre-/post-merger integration (PMI). He co-leads AlixPartners’ European aerospace and defense team as well as the European M&A/PMI practice. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Stefan co-led McKinsey's automotive, assembly and operations effectiveness practice for eight years (product development, purchasing and supply chain, manufacturing). Prior to that, he worked with Daimler in R&D, product development and supply chain (1st M-Class generation). Stefan holds a Master of Economic Engineering degree from the University of Karlsruhe (Germany) and earned his Ph.D. on “Planning and Forecasting in the Automotive Industry”.
