Tim McEwan

Biography
Tim McEwan is Managing Director of Sheffield Haworth's Leadership Advisory business which provides Assessment, Coaching, Development and Organisational Culture solutions.​ Tim personally specialises in organisational culture and leadership. He provides advisory support to individual executives and wider organisations through boards, executive committees and management teams. He is also a keynote speaker and about to have his book ‘Leadership Balance’ published.​ Tim started his career in the British Army, commissioning from Sandhurst into the Scots Guards. His roles in the Army ranged from counter terrorism operations globally to being appointed Equerry to a member of the British Royal Family. After 10 years he left the Army following his final role as a leadership instructor back at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.​ On leaving the Army Tim focused on leadership development and coaching in the commercial world. He worked for a leadership development consultancy providing leadership training programmes to a wide variety of organisations globally. Tim moved in house as Global Head of Leadership and Learning at the global asset manager, Henderson. In that role he was responsible for supporting the CEO in changing the culture, embedding the new strategy and aligning the organisation behind it. He was heavily involved in the recent merger with Janus and was focused on the alignment of cultures and the bringing together of teams.​ In 2013 Tim set up his own business and continued his relationship with Henderson in that capacity. This allowed him to support other organisations and share knowledge and experience between them.​ In 2015 Tim was appointed a Fellow in Management Practice at The University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School where he collaborates with the Executive Education department. His teaching is focused on Leadership, Culture and High performance in Team.​ Until recently he has been a trustee of the Sandhurst Trust, the Military Academy’s charity which supports Sandhurst veterans in need as well as acting as the alumni body.
