Shawn is a partner at True, focusing on product and engineering searches. His clients include leading companies such as BuzzFeed and SolarWinds. Prior to joining True, Shawn worked for over ten years in scientific research and technology management. Formerly in charge of operations and grant research at an early-stage, venture-backed start-up, Shawn brings a passion for technology and growth. He has developed scientific collaborations in over 25 countries, working with some of the world’s top minds, including Nobel Prize winners. Shawn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from Boston University, a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from UC Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration degree from London Business School. He has traveled all over the world and enjoys a long hike on an isolated trail, paddle boarding down the coast and a great cup of coffee.
