Biography
Frederik Gjessing Vinten has approximately 15 years of experience in strategy and business development, M&A, digital transformation, and corporate finance for highly regulated and technology-driven industries. A trusted adviser with a track record of helping organizations transform and redefine business models, Frederik helps organizations define their leadership needs to support change. Based in Copenhagen, Frederik is a member of Spencer Stuart’s global Private Equity and Industrial practices.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Frederik was an executive board member and senior executive vice president for Danske Bank, the second largest bank in the Nordics, being responsible for business development group-wide.
Previously, Frederik was a senior director and head of strategy for Maersk Line, where he led several M&A projects and developed a long-term growth strategy focusing on commercial excellence and new digital services.
Frederik began his career at McKinsey & Co., where he developed strategy, large-scale turnaround and transformation strategies within global banking, energy, industrial and TMT industries.
Frederik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Copenhagen, a Master of Science degree in economics and management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Ph.D. in economics from Copenhagen Business School. He also was a visiting scholar for the New York University Stern School of Business. Frederik speaks fluent Danish and English.
