Margot is a Managing Partner at Derwent, leading our Financial Services Practice. Throughout a career spanning almost two decades in the Financial Services Sector, Margot has built a reputation as a trusted, ethical and committed leader with a wide range of relationships and influence. Margot has partnered intimately with thousands of business owners as their banker, made hundreds of appointments in her own successful businesses and has committed to diversity throughout. Margot understands both the difficulties and the opportunities in getting appointments right. Margot began her career as a lawyer at Ashurst and moved to banking shortly thereafter, initially with Macquarie Group Limited. Since then, Margot has held senior leadership roles with NAB and CBA. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts, both from Australian National University.
