Biography
Based in Buenos Aires, Juan Pablo Simon Padros leads Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Technology Officer practices in Argentina. He is also a member of the Professional & IT Services Practice. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the technology and professional services industries in areas such as IT strategy and marketing, he advises clients across Latin America on their leadership needs and digital, e-commerce and transformative technologies.
Throughout his career, Juan Pablo has advised on IT strategy for clients spanning the retail, oil and gas, public sector, consumer goods, telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services industries. He has developed business and marketing strategies for leading technology companies and led regional change management projects. He has worked across Latin America, the United States and Europe, bringing his clients a global perspective on business practices and strategies.
Juan Pablo joined Spencer Stuart from SAP, where he most recently served as senior director for the company’s worldwide ecosystem and routes marketing unit. In this role, he was responsible for the global project management office, driving innovative and strategic pilot projects and promoting talent management globally. He also served as a marketing director for the company’s large enterprise and small and medium enterprise segments in Latin America.
Previously, Juan Pablo led marketing programs for Hewlett Packard in Latin America (formerly Compaq Latin America), focusing on managed services and outsourcing, support services and IT solutions. He also worked as a solutions manager specializing in “real-time enterprise” offers within the HP NonStop solutions group. Earlier in his career, Juan Pablo worked with IBM Argentina as a business development manager, defining and executing a channel strategy for the company’s retail solutions in the region.
Juan Pablo holds an executive M.B.A. from IAE Business School in Argentina, and a degree in business administration from Catholic University of Buenos Aires. He studied international business and global strategy at Thunderbird School of Global Management and completed global immersion programs at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Virginia, Darden Business School. He speaks Spanish and English.
