Biography
Caren advises clients at the C-Suite and BOD level on aligning their people strategy with their business strategy, most often during periods of significant business growth, turnaround, and/or leadership changes and with organizations addressing the ongoing disruptive change driven by digital transformation.
As clients look to harness digital technology to become more customer centric, she helps them bring their strategy to life through talent solutions such as development, retention, culture change, org structure and alignment as well as recruitment. Search engagements focus on omni-channel B to C and B to B goods and services businesses, and span the C-suite with an emphasis on General Management, Senior Marketing, Commercial, Customer, Growth and Digital roles.
Clients include entrepreneurial ventures, both PE-backed and family-owned, as well as Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Fleit has leveraged her international background and has done significant work in the global arena as well as for US subsidiaries of foreign companies.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Caren spent almost 20 years in leadership and P & L management roles in the U.S. and abroad where she drove business and brand strategy as well as strategic brand and performance marketing.
She was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Revlon. Previously, she led marketing for Guerlain, and before that, Christian Dior, both subsidiaries of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. Her earlier career includes marketing leadership roles with Nestle. As a member of highly matrixed senior management teams, Ms. Fleit had significant cross-functional responsibility in areas such as sales and operations.
She enjoys wilderness hiking, horseback riding and yoga, and is also an amateur cabaret singer; performing at different NYC venues. She resides in New York City and Ulster County, NY with her rescued dog, Daisy.
Ms. Fleit received an MBA from INSEAD in France and a BA from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, she is a graduate of Columbia University's Coaching Certification Program. She speaks fluent French.
She is passionate about advocating for animal welfare and protection, she is actively involved in advisory and fundraising; serving on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of the United States as well as on the boards of the Animal Care Centers of NYC and the Catskill Animal Sanctuary.
