Biography
Helen is the Executive Director and founder of the New York office for Taylor Root. She leads the In-house team in North America, which handles complex legal and compliance searches across the United States. Her clients include multinational conglomerates, global and domestic advertising, media and PR companies, cutting edge technology companies, and international manufacturing outfits. Having represented clients in various geographies and bespoke/highly sensitive assignments, Helen is a trusted advisor to global General Counsels who regularly instruct her on exclusive and retained searches.
Helen qualified as an attorney in the UK with leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, which included a secondment to their Tokyo office. Prior to commencing her legal studies, she worked in Japan for three years. Her career at Taylor Root began in the international team in the London office in 2010. She relocated to Singapore in the summer of 2010 to help establish the new office for Taylor Root and over the next five years worked across the whole market, managing the in-house banking and financial services team, and recruiting senior legal and compliance candidates (including General Counsels and Heads of Compliance) across the South East Asia region.
Helen graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2002 with a Masters in English Literature. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School and completed the Legal Practice Course in London in 2007.
