Troy de Haas is a Partner and Head of the Sport & Entertainment Practice for Asia-Pacific. Troy has held senior executive positions within a range of organisations including Head of Sport at BMC in Switzerland, Director of Sales & Marketing at Thanyapura sports resort in Thailand before founding TDH Sport & Entertainment marketing agency in Hong Kong. As a former elite athlete he has represented Australia at the international level in Mountain Running and Orienteering where he became the first ever Non-European to medal at the World Championship level. His innate understanding of all sports and requirements of CEO’s and boards throughout Asia-Pacific make him a rare and trusted advisor to both clients and candidates alike. Troy has experience in leadership having sat in various executive management groups which included leading one of the world’s most recognized endurance sports properties, BMC Racing (incl. road, mtb, triathlon & ambassadors). Prior to that he was responsible for attracting prominent international talent to launch Thanyapura with it being awarded Asia’s Premier Sports Resort within a year and guiding Flight Centre Asia’s sports travel department to record sales. He has spent the past two decades competing, studying and working internationally with a proven track record of building lasting partnerships and cross-border relationships. Today based in Melbourne, one of the world’s true sporting capitals, he works closely with the Global Sports Practice team on key global searches.
