CK Koo is principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Seoul office and leads the Industrial Practice in Seoul as a member of the global Industrial Practice. He focuses on executive searches across a wide range of industries including automotive, electric and electronics, chemicals, building materials, and logistics and transportation. With more than 30 years of combined experience in executive search and in business, CK has completed a wide range of senior-level searches for CEOs, CFOs, business unit leaders, and CHOs as well as chief commercial officers, operations, engineering, and R&D roles for large international public companies and private equity backed companies. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, CK was based in Hong Kong as Asia regional head, vice president and general manager for DENTSPLY Sirona with full P&L responsibility to manage nine Asian subsidiaries, including their China manufacturing facility. He managed a reorganization and led a successful turnaround of both DENTSPLY Sirona Korea and Sued-Chemie Korea. CK had general management responsibility at BASF (EB), Sued-Chemie, and Sika Korea. At Sika, he set up a legal entity in Korea, commissioned a local production facility, developed business, and built the organization into a sustainable profitable business. Education: CK earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Bath in the UK. He also earned a bachelor of science degree from the KyungHee University in Seoul, Korea.
