Ms. Hires brings more than twenty years of experience working with organizations, senior leadership teams, and individuals to find solutions for today's leadership challenges. Her experience is comprised of consulting engagements on assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, and career transition in industries ranging from technology to retail. She is keenly interested in the unique career and leadership challenges faced by women executives. Ms. Hires' career has included diverse leadership roles in senior management, sales, operations, information technology, and customer service. Her broad client industry expertise spans consumer goods and services, energy and utilities, medical devices, retail, and technology products and services sectors. Her coaching clients are typically senior executives or business unit managers who wish to bring clarity and creativity to leadership challenges. Adaptability and learning to influence are consistent themes in her coaching practice. Frequently, her clients are executive women who want to focus on the unique career and leadership challenges in today's business environment. Prior to joining the Firm via PDI Ninth House, a Korn Ferry company, Ms. Hires held a variety of leadership positions at DBM, Hires Management Group, Lee Hecht Harrison, Jefferson Wells International, and EDS. A frequent public speaker on topics related to leadership, talent management, women's leadership, and generational differences, Ms. Hires brings business acumen and keen observational skills to each engagement. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a credentialed mediator in mediation and dispute resolution from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Ms. Hires earned her doctoral degree in higher education administration from the University of North Texas in Denton, a master's degree in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston, and a bachelor's degree, also in vocal performance, from Meredith College in Raleigh.
