Philippe Tirault serves as managing partner at DHR international and oversees the operations of the firm's Seoul office. He is a veteran in the executive search industry in Asia with more than 25 years of experience in that field. As a member of the Financial Services and Industrial Practice Groups, he specializes in senior level search assignments for both foreign and APAC clients. Prior to joining DHR International, Philippe was based in Seoul as a Senior Client Partner and Head of the Automotive Practice – Asia for a leading global executive search firm, specializing in global searches for positions in the financial services and industrial sectors. Before that, he served as Managing Partner for another major international executive search firm, running their operations in Korea for several years. Philippe started his career in Executive Search by founding the first executive search firm in Korea in 1987. He successfully grew the company into a major player in the executive search space in Asia, expanding to seven offices across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand by 1997. The company was later sold to a major global executive search firm in 2000. Before his career in Executive Search, Philippe worked for a major French bank as a member of the strategic planning team in their corporate headquarters in Paris. He was later transferred to the bank's Seoul branch to promote new business ventures between Korean and French companies. Philippe holds a degree in Civil Engineering from ESTP (École Spéciale des Travaux Publics), a major French engineering school. He is also a graduate of ESSEC (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales), one of Europe's leading business schools.
