Biography
Mark Young is the Managing Partner in the Miami office of EMA Partners. With an excess of 400 search engagements both in the USA and internationally, he has over 30 years of experience in the retained search industry. This has included assignments in the United States, Canada, France, England, Chile and Brazil. He has fulfilled searches for most senior level functional positions and has successfully conducted searches for minority candidates.
He has years of diverse experience in search execution and has the special knowledge of the Florida and southeastern US marketplace. He has successfully conducted searches for clients in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Guatemala, Panama and Costa Rica within financial services, wealth management, agri-business, supply chain/logistics, technology and not-for-profit institutions and foundations.
Previously, he served as Vice President at A.T. Kearney Inc. for seven years in Miami. He then headed the Florida executive search practice of KPMG Peat Marwick in Miami for six years. Before that, Mark was President of National Executive Consultants, Inc., a retained executive search boutique based in Atlanta. This firm served executive search services to financial industries in the Southeast US. He also spent the four years before his Atlanta residence in Montreal, Canada working for the retained executive search firm, Rozender & Associates.
Active in the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Young had served on the Senior Executive Orientation Committee, was a member of their Trustees, and in 2008, distinguished as a member of The Chairman’s Circle of the Miami Chamber. He also was an active Campaign Board member of the United Way of Broward County and served on its Allocations Committee. Additionally, he has served as a Board Member of the Urban League of Broward County, a former Board member for Camillus House in Miami and as a Board Member of the organisation, Take Stock in Children in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mark E Young is originally from Canada and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Sir George Williams University in Montreal.
