Biography
YH Yeonho Kim is the partner in charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ Seoul office and a member of the global Technology & Services Practice. He has a strong background in software, telecommunications, engineering, and marketing with exceptional insight into the strategic and operational challenges, and in developing new business opportunities in the technology and IT service industries.
YH joined the firm from Hana INS, where he served most recently as the executive vice president, responsible for mobile banking service, business intelligence and electronic document management. He also worked as vice president for SK Broadband (formerly Hanaro Telecom) as CIO, network management and branch head. Prior to that, he was the country manager of QAD Korea, an ERP solution company headquartered in California, USA.
Prior to QAD Korea, YH served for 14 years at Samsung SDS, a subsidiary of Samsung Group. During this tenure, YH worked in Samsung SDS America and eSamsung America, in roles involving sales and marketing of system integration service and consulting, covering the North and South American markets. He also established and managed Samsung’s corporate venture capital in the US as a COO/CFO during the start-up investment, and business development for Samsung Electronics and other affiliates.
After graduating from university, YH worked in Kia Motors as a gasoline engine designer for three years.
