Biography
An associate in WittKieffer’s Professional Search Search Practice, Eleanor Vogelsang brings to her role an extensive understanding of the higher education landscape, with particular expertise in issues related to student access and government funding for low-income students. Eleanor makes it a priority to thoroughly understand a client organization in order to identify leaders who align with its goals and mission. She also builds strong, lasting relationships with exceptional leaders in higher education and beyond.
Most recently Eleanor was Development Manager for the Close Up Foundation of Alexandria, Virginia. The Foundation offers programming to encourage youths to participate in civic affairs and government. Eleanor led the organization’s grassroots fundraising efforts, working in local communities across the U.S. to secure grants, donations, and individual gifts to support low-income students. Prior to that, she was Director of the College Board’s Washington office operations. In this role, she managed a $17.9 million annual budget and provided direction and oversight for finance, facilities/security, information technology, and meetings and conferences. Also with the College Board, she was Associate Director of Government Relations, lobbying key federal Congressional offices and building bipartisan support for funding of low-income students’ access to education.
