Angela Raphael has a rich and robust background in healthcare operations and administration which informs every facet of her work as an executive recruiter in the industry. Her areas of expertise include human resources, quality improvement, financial management, project management, workflow optimization, training and development, mentoring, and coaching. This broad background allows Angela to connect on a professional level with clients and truly understand their leadership needs. Prior to joining WittKieffer, Angela was director of operations, senior services, for MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. In this role, she was responsible for the oversight of ambulatory clinics, skilled nursing facility partnerships, and home-based primary care program. Among her other experiences was a role as administrator of clinic operations for Emory Clinic and Emory Specialty Associates in Atlanta, where she was responsible for the business and operational oversight of nine outpatient practices. Another key role was as outpatient clinic manager of rehabilitation therapy services for the Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore. She also consulted for Johns Hopkins Medicine International to improve efficiencies of education programs and projects for Middle Eastern clients in Kuwait. Angela makes it a point to stay professionally engaged with key industry associations. She was president of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives for two years. She has also frequently been a speaker on executive career topics.
