François Reyntens is an attorney and a member of Spencer Stuart’s Legal, Compliance & Regulatory and Professional & IT Services practices in Europe. Francois has extensive experience navigating the legal, regulatory and strategic issues involved in corporate finance transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, project financing and debt and capital issuance, especially in Europe’s energy industry. Before joining Spencer Stuart, François led the legal affairs department as general counsel for Elia, an international utility and infrastructure group based in Brussels, where he was involved in corporate finance transactions, strategic international projects and sensitive compliance and dispute resolution matters. Earlier, François was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and spent 10 years as a business lawyer with large, international law firms in London and Brussels. François is a frequent speaker on topics including regulatory matters, dispute resolution and the future of the legal profession. François earned his Master of general management degree from Vlerick Business School; his Master in law, magna cum laude, at Université de Louvain and an executive management program at IESE. François is fluent in French, English and Dutch.
