Biography
Ms. Makiney brings over 20 years of experience dedicated to leadership and talent consulting. She has led engagements assessing senior executives for key positions, assessing high potential talent to support succession planning, and assessing and providing coaching to leaders throughout the pipeline.
She provides expertise and consulting for integrated talent management, including success profiles and competency models at both the enterprise and job level, simulation-based assessment design and delivery, performance management, learning journey design, change management and communication strategies, and business impact.
Prior to Korn Ferry, Ms. Makiney worked as a Senior Consultant for Development Dimensions International (DDI) where she led engagements with large multi-national clients as well as U.S. based clients spanning hundreds of locations both regionally and nationally. She has utilized her consensus building and facilitation skills to lead working sessions with a diverse array of global team members, reaching consensus on process, competencies, proficiency requirements, and development content. She has also had extensive experience leading assessment engagements for state and local governments and non-profits.
She has enabled clients to develop success profiles and competency models, implement behavioral interviewing programs, and utilize 360 feedback tools and processes.
She has extensive experience working with clients in a wide range of industries, including life sciences, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.
Ms. Makiney earned her doctoral and master's degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron and a bachelor's degree from California State University Sacramento. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has presented at numerous professional conferences.
