Biography
Simon Fletcher is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Dubai office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. He has 20 years of professional experience in strategic human capital management practice across the UK, Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Simon leads major assessment, leadership development and coaching programs in a number of sectors including financial services, industrial, energy, oil & gas, telecommunications, and government.
Simon has experience working with emerging and top talent at the c-suite and board level. His particular focus and expertise is in executive and high potential assessment leading to customized development program design and delivery. He is a registered psychometric test practitioner and has advanced proficiency of using and training others in the use of many of the major psychometric tools.
Simon is an experienced strategic adviser working with individuals and teams. He has worked extensively across the whole spectrum of talent management engagements including performance management, competency framework design, psychometric/360 assessment and leadership development.
For the United Nations, Simon designed and directed a series of assessment development centres for FAO, IFAD and WFP. Over the course of three years, he and his team worked with 400 senior professionals and directors in the initial assessment and subsequent coaching, designed to help leaders transition to more senior positions.
Simon led the assessment elements of three major integrations in the financial services sector in the Middle East, helping his clients chose their most talented leaders to take the new entity forward post-merger/acquisition.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Simon was an associate partner in a leading global talent consultancy and principal psychologist for a regional talent development consultancy. Before relocating to the Middle East in 2012 , he was an executive development director for a business school (ranked top 10 globally), where he led programs focused on the integration of assessment and development initiatives.
