Biography
Flora Mets specialise in executive assessment and leadership development. Backed with extensive experience in management consulting, performance improvement, senior leadership development and executive coaching. Mrs Mets have a deep understanding of the skills and behaviours leaders need to succeed in a wide range of contexts. Prior to setting up her own firm and partnering with Mercuri Urval, Mrs Mets spent 15+ years in a career spanning finance, strategy and leadership advisory. She began her career in finance designing international corporate finance optimisation plans for multinational companies before specialising in People and Organisation for the performance improvement advisory practice of a “BIG4”, delivering organisation-related assignment for government, financial institutions and the healthcare industry. While finalising her executive leadership program at INSEAD, Mrs Mets joined Mubadala, a major sovereign investment fund in the United Arab Emirates as part of the CEO office for the Healthcare division. She spent five years in the GCC focusing on corporate strategic planning and leadership advisory. She then founded an executive coaching and advisory boutique in Dubai focused on performance and engagement for senior executives through coaching and tailored individual development. She has been working at Spencer Stuart serving the Brussels and London offices, specialising in top team effectiveness, culture transformation and mainly c-level executive assessment. She served clients across EMEA and various sectors, with an emphasis on financial services, healthcare, industrial and private equity mainly in the context of M&A and CEO succession. Flora was a Senior Principal at Korn Ferry part of the EMEA leadership advisory practice as well as the EMEA senior expert team for executive assessments. She assessed more than 300 leaders through in-depth and in-person interviews and work sessions across EMEA. She worked with approx. 100 c-level executives in order to select, develop and build key behavioural factors for driving performance, high engagement and financial success. Her strengths come from her deep passion for individuals, and leaving a meaningful and sustainable impact on people and organisations, as well as her ability to trigger self-awareness on key development areas in the context of onboarding, succession planning or ambitious talent management purposes.
