Mr. Matsumoto specializes in the recruitment of senior executives for top multinational and Japanese financial services firms within the Japanese market. He has successfully partnered with financial services clients spanning asset management, private equity, real estate, fintech, insurance, capital markets and investment banking. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Matsumoto worked for other global executive search firms in Japan, where he focused on recruiting senior executives for buy-side clients and completed numerous searches across multiple functions, including firm leadership, investments, distribution, investment solutions, product development, operations, and legal and compliance. Earlier in his career, he worked at a boutique executive search firm specializing in the investment banking, securities, and asset management markets. Mr. Matsumoto holds a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Simon Fraser University.
