Joe's professional concentration is C-suite leadership recruitment for a diverse worldwide sector comprised of organizations that provide software, platforms, solutions, or services to the education economy. In his engagements, Joe typically works with boards of directors, CEOs, and investors recruiting leadership to these impactful businesses seeking to improve learning outcomes. Joe’s clients include diverse and market-leading businesses. As part of the firm’s strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum, Joe served on their Global Education Initiative, leading an effort that developed a resource guide for leaders engaged in multi-lateral partnerships for systemic reform. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Joe spent nine years with another major search firm as vice president and managing director, where he originated an international practice in education markets. Before executive search, Joe had an HR career as senior VP with Shearson/Lehman Brothers and previously with American Express.
