Biography
Based in the Washington, D.C. office, Ms. Weiss brings more than 20 years of leadership experience, with over a decade at Korn Ferry, during which span she has partnered with nonprofits, associations, and higher education institutions to place executives and emerging leaders to include Chief Executive Officers and Executive Directors, in addition to functional leaders spanning Development/Fundraising, Finance, Chief Diversity Officers, Human Resources/Talent Acquisitions, Marketing/ Communications, Operations, and Technology. During her tenure at the firm, she was the recipient of Korn Ferry's North America Client Satisfaction Award; Korn Ferry's Global Innovation Challenge award; and Korn Ferry's North America Chief Executive Top Quality Award. Ms. Weiss joined Korn Ferry from The Princeton Review, where she served as Editorial Director, and held former roles as Director of Business Development and Creative Planning, in addition to Managing Editor. Prior, she was Managing Editor at Golden Books, Education Division, and earlier in her career, she served as a Production Manager at McGraw-Hill School Division. Over the last 14 years, Ms. Weiss has served as an associate and adjunct professor of English and writing at Florida and New York City colleges and universities. She is a regular contributor to publications, including Huffington Post, LinkedIn Pulse, and Ultrarunning Magazine, where she writes about careers, communication, and motivation. She is the founder of EverythingSmart, a career coaching organization that specializes in assisting professionals and college students to explore career routes. Ms. Weiss holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in English/Literature from the State University of New York, and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Brooklyn College. An accomplished long-distance runner with over thirty-five 100+ mile races completed, Ms. Weiss is affiliated with athletic organizations throughout the U.S. Ms. Weiss sits on the Board of Governors for Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society.
