Patrik Hammar is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Financial Services, Private Equity, Financial Officer and Board practices and is based in the firm’s Stockholm office. Bringing extensive experience in the banking industry across the Nordic countries, he focuses on serving clients in the region across financial sectors, including banking, asset management, insurance, real estate, private wealth management and private equity. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Patrik was a managing director and senior relationship banker in Stockholm for Royal Bank of Scotland, working with large corporate clients in a broad range of industries and serving as the Nordic head of consumer, retail and healthcare. Patrik was a director and senior client executive with Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK), where he was responsible for the global portfolio of corporate clients within the energy, forestry, and pulp and paper sectors. His early career was spent in relationship management roles with ABN AMRO and SEB, serving Swedish corporate clients as well as multinational corporations. He also worked with the Swedish Trade Council in Paris. Patrik holds a Master of Science in business administration and economics from Uppsala University and is a reserve officer in the Swedish Royal Navy with the current rank of lieutenant. He is fluent in Swedish and English and also speaks conversational French.
