Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Bruce saw firsthand how technology transformed all aspects of society. Combining his deep knowledge of the technology industry with a keen desire to understand people, Bruce brings insight, experience, and energy to the True team. Prior to joining True, Bruce ran his own company helping coach and place professionals in their dream jobs. He also worked in software for two years, aiming to bring real-time data to customers. Bruce won five national titles in academic competitions in high school and won on Jeopardy in 2020. Bruce now helps to mentor the next generation as an elite academic competition coach, helping his students win a combined 10 national titles. Bruce earned a degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. Bruce is active in community organizing, leading an effort to hand out thousands of units of pepper spray to Asian elders for self-defense. A Bay Area native, Bruce loves exploring the city and rooting for his hometown 49ers.
