Alex Sanchez is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Los Angeles office and a member of the Aviation, Aerospace & Defense and Industrial practices. With more than a decade of executive search experience, Alex focuses on recruiting C-level officers, senior P&L leaders, and functional executives in manufacturing operations and sales and marketing. His clients span the aviation, aerospace, and defense value chain and include large multinational corporations, middle market organizations, and private equity portfolio companies. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Alex was a sector leader and later principal in the aerospace and defense practice at another global executive search firm where he supported and led numerous senior level engagements, including CEOs, presidents, COOs, CFOs, and group P&L executives. Previously, he led his own boutique executive search firm. Alex began his career as an associate in the industrial practice of a boutique executive search firm where he specialized in aerospace & defense and executed engagements across C-suite and senior-level executive positions. Prior to his industry career, he served on active duty as a U.S. Marine with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, deploying to Baghdad and Al Anbar province in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
