Biography
Jim serves as the Global Co-Head of AlixPartners’ Turnaround and Restructuring Services Practice, bringing over three decades of expertise in the restructuring industry. Throughout his distinguished career, Jim has held pivotal senior management roles in turnarounds, including Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
His outstanding contributions have earned him global recognition, including being named the Global Turnaround Consultant of the Year by the Global M&A Network. Jim has been an integral part of award-winning teams recognized by the Turnaround Management Association for the successful restructurings of prominent entities such as Zenith Electronics, General Growth Properties, Eastman Kodak Company, and Pacific Gas & Electric.
Jim's expertise extends to testifying in bankruptcy court on behalf of his clients, where his testimony has been recognized as expert testimony in matters related to bankruptcy proceedings.
Jim is an alumnus of Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School, holding an MBA with a focus on finance and organizational behavior. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the university. Additionally, Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and management from Purdue University. He is a certified public accountant (CPA), holds the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designation, and is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
