Biography
Vishal Seth is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s New Delhi office and a member of the Industrial Practice. Vishal has more than 19 years’ experience in various global manufacturing industries, most recently as managing director of Arconic (formerly Alcoa) India. Vishal has extensive experience with corporate finance, as well as manufacturing and operations.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Vishal served as managing director of Arconic (formerly Alcoa) India. During his tenure, Vishal grew the Arconic India’s annual revenue from $30 million to $250 million between 2012 and 2016.
Prior to that, Vishal held a number of roles of increasing responsibility at Alcoa. He launched Alcoa’s primary sales in India as country head of Alcoa India materials management. Earlier, he was responsible for managing all co-sourced finance and accounting and IT functions, as country head of Alcoa’s global business services.
Vishal began working for Alcoa in the U.S. in Iowa as an internal consultant in lean manufacturing systems, and later relocated to Pittsburgh as Alcoa’s North America treasury manager.
Before Alcoa, Vishal worked for International Paper Co., as operations manager of their security papers business.
Vishal has a bachelor’s degree in production engineering from the University of Mumbai, a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He has completed a global treasury management program from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon, and an executive MBA program from Harvard Business School. He speaks English, Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi.
