Biography
Simon is focused on bringing his deep experience in the sector to support clients in delivering their strategy and transformation vision and identifying the right solutions to make it a reality.
Prior to Korn Ferry Simon was a Partner with a leading global strategy consulting firm, where he has assisted major Financial Institutions faced with challenges in their strategy and organization, particularly related to digital transformation.
He has advised CEO's and C-suite executives on shaping large scale customer and outcome focused business transformations enabled by digital technologies. This includes a focus on the tangible results that need to be achieved in enabling operational efficiencies, top line growth and customer and employee engagement.
Simon has also held leadership positions with one of the UK's largest retail and commercial banks, working across multi-functional teams to deliver an improved experience for SME business banking customers.
He pioneered the use of design-thinking, lean-startup thinking and agile change practices within his former global strategy consulting firm, with a view to simplifying business processes and innovating the experience for all stakeholders within the context of digital transformation.
Simon has spent the bulk of his career working with technology and operational process areas of client businesses. His experience has been that the people side of the transformation equation is frequently under-invested and is ultimately the reason why transformational programmes do not deliver on their anticipated benefits. Therefore he is excited to be able to bring the breadth and depth of Korn Ferry's capabilities to enable real success.
He has worked for a wide range of institutions in Retail Banking, the SME end of Corporate Banking, Wealth Management and Fintechs. He also brings a wealth of experience from other industry sectors.
Simon has an MBA from Imperial College Management School in London, and a Master of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
