Over the last fifteen years, Mr. Simpson has led a wide range of executive and non-executive search assignments for public and private clients across the broad spectrum of financial services. These assignments have included a number of high profile roles for state backed and pre IPO bank boards. In addition, Mr. Simpson had led a significant number of Advisory roles including CEO succession, Board effectiveness and Group Executive assessment for diverse financial services institutions in the UK, Continental Europe, Russia, the Gulf and Africa. These assignments have also included pre and post-merger succession assessments. Mr. Simpson has extensive search experience, having worked in the industry for over 25 years. He has been particularly active in global assignments for international organizations and has successfully completed searches in all core markets. Mr. Simpson's previous position was Chief Executive, Europe, of another leading search firm where he was also the global head of the Commercial Banking and Insurance practice and managing partner of the London office. Mr. Simpson began his search career with a leading boutique in 1987. He has a Master of Arts degree in history from Edinburgh University.
