Biography
Christy Pratt brings to her consulting role with WittKieffer broad expertise in higher education, with extensive experience in admissions and enrollment leadership. Throughout more than 20 years in admissions-related leadership roles, Christy has developed an impressive network of contacts across academia that she taps as part of her search activities. She has gained an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities inherent in higher education today and strives to learn the culture and leadership strategies of her clients in order to assist them in identifying leaders best qualified to shape their futures. Christy has consistently exhibited a deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in student bodies, staff, and administration.
Prior to joining WittKieffer, Christy served as director of undergraduate admissions at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She directed an admissions team of nearly 50 professionals who implemented the strategic vision and growth of the entire student recruitment funnel from prospect to enrollment to retention. She experienced particular success in enrolling the most selective and diverse first-year classes in school history. Through identification and collaboration with many community-based organizations such as QuestBridge, College Horizons, and Posse, she has provided opportunities for first generation and students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds to attend top 20 institutions. Christy has worked closely with athletic directors, administrators, and head coaches and understands the intricacies of the NCAA and Division I athletics processes. As part of her ongoing commitment to efficiency and excellence in operations, she has implemented multiple CRM systems including Technolutions (Slate). Christy has displayed a special dedication to selecting, training, and mentoring the next leaders of higher education to support their career advancement.
Prior to Notre Dame, Christy held other key senior admissions positions with the University of Virginia, East Carolina University, and Hood College. She also served as an adjunct professor and managed the Department of Allied Health & Wellness at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland, working with departments of nursing, nuclear medicine, surgical technology, and respiratory therapy. She has stayed active professionally throughout her career, as a frequent presenter and supporter of organizations such as the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), the College Board, and American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
