Biography
Minoru Irino is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Tokyo office and is a member of the firm’s Industrial Practice. He brings almost 15 years of consulting and over 15 years of executive search experience to his client work. Throughout his career, he has worked on CEO succession assignments, as well as functional searches for chief information officers, chief technology officers, chief financial officers, supply chain and plant leaders, among others.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Minoru worked at leading executive search firms in Tokyo, both international and local, where he focused on recruiting senior executive leaders to help Japanese companies grow their businesses. His clients included major Japanese companies, privately owned businesses and venture capital-backed startups, in addition to major multinational corporations. He has worked with companies across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, retail, hospitality and technology.
Prior to his career in search, Minoru held various positions at Nippon Steel / NS Solutions, where he contributed to the development of solution consulting services for manufacturing, distribution management, data warehousing and retail operations.
During his tenure at Nippon Steel, he gained broad functional expertise through projects spanning sales and marketing, supply chain, enterprise resource planning, merchandising and systems integration. His clients included food, pharmaceutical, chemical, retail and logistics companies.
Minoru holds a B.A. in political science and economics from Waseda University.
