Christian Gjørup works closely with retail, luxury, and consumer companies to identify and recruit top talent for their organizations. Based in Hamburg, he focuses on executive searches in operations, sales, marketing, strategy, and digital transformation. Previously, Christian spent more than a decade in retail operations overseeing a Danish retailer’s entry into the German market. As managing director, he ran the German and Norwegian divisions, and stayed with the company until a year after it had been sold to a private equity investor. Christian then joined McKinsey, where he also worked with consumer and retail clients. Apart from McKinsey, he has spent his career advising and working with family-owned companies. Christian holds an MS in applied economics and finance and a BS in international business from Copenhagen Business School. He speaks Danish, English and German.
