Biography
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Carolyn Wilson has developed expertise in accelerating the contributions of high-potential leaders. In a variety of internal and external talent management consulting roles, she has advised business leaders on leadership succession and talent optimization strategies, having designed and implemented high-potential leadership development programs for numerous Fortune 500 and non-profit organizations.
In her current role, Carolyn is responsible for overseeing the deployment and development of consulting resources for Pivot's custom leadership development solutions. As a consulting partner, she works collaboratively with clients to co-create executive team and leadership development engagements. Utilizing in-depth business simulations, leadership style assessments, and development coaching, she creates programs that consider the whole person to drive insight and motivation for optimal performance.
Carolyn has worked extensively as an executive coach and talent advisor, providing assessment feedback, talent planning, and long-term coaching services to hundreds of leaders and executives across industries and global locations. Her previous roles at Korn Ferry involved global practice management of CEO Succession engagements including the development, implementation, and advancement of Korn Ferry's CEO Succession and assessment offerings. She is an active contributor with her clients on research articles and scholarly conference presentations concerning global assessment trends, psychometric design and validation approaches, and fairness of HR processes.
Previously a licensed psychologist, Carolyn holds a dual doctoral degree in industrial-organizational psychology and counseling psychology and a master's degree in industrial-organizational psychology from Colorado State University. She completed her bachelor's degree with Honors in psychology from Vanderbilt University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley Health Service and completed an APA-Accredited pre-doctoral internship training program at Colorado State University Counseling Center.
