Aya Iinuma is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Tokyo office where she leads the Financial Services, Professional Services, and Legal, Risk, Compliance & Government Affairs practices in Japan, recruiting senior leadership and attorneys within both in-house and in private practice firms. During her time at Heidrick & Struggles, she has completed a range of searches in her specialist areas, frequently working in a cross-border capacity. She focuses her search work on financial services infrastructure assignments such as compliance, legal, audit, risk, finance, operations and IT. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Aya was a consultant at a Tokyo-based boutique executive search firm with a focus on legal function and professional services, where she completed numerous senior-level search assignments. Her career began with Mizuho Trust and Banking where Aya served for 12 years in corporate finance, distressed assets, and marketing and business planning areas.
