Bill Mateikis is a U.S. Partner in Odgers Berndtson’s Industrial Practice with general industry expertise in Human Resources and Legal/Compliance functions having served most recently as Chief Human Resource Officer at PE-backed Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors, the largest U.S. based independent protein food distributor. Prior to that role, Bill was General Counsel and Chief Human Resource Officer at Daikin Applied Americas, a U.S. based subsidiary of Daikin Industries, the global leader in air-related technology based in Osaka Japan, well known for its differentiating focus on people centered leadership. In these capacities Bill drove significant post-acquisition culture shifts which involved initiating organizational design changes, leadership upgrades, and human resource investments in strategic growth areas. Earlier in his career Bill held various executive positions at Honeywell, Gateway Computers, General Mills and PepsiCo. He has also been a full-time visiting law professor at the Wayne State University and an associate attorney at a major law firm. Bill earned his law degree from New York University School of Law and has an undergraduate degree in economics from SUNY Fredonia and graduate degrees in industrial relations and international relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. He is on the Board of Trustees at Dunwoody College of Technology and a member of the Advisory Board of Florida International University’s Center for Leadership.
